What this policy covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage SolutionHunt uses, why, and how you control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
We ask for your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Your choice applies on this browser, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Strictly necessary
These keep you signed in and protect your account. The site cannot work without them, so they do not need consent and cannot be switched off.
- __Secure-neon-auth.session_token: keeps you signed in. Set by our sign-in provider, Neon Auth. Lasts until you sign out or the session expires (up to 7 days).
- __Secure-neon-auth.local.session_data: a short-lived signed copy of your session so pages load faster. Lasts a few minutes.
- __Secure-neon-auth.session_challenge and neon_auth_session_verifier: protect sign-in, including Continue with Google, against forgery. Last a few minutes.
- solutionhunt-cookie-consent (local storage): remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again. Kept until you clear it.
- Session storage in your browser tab: keeps a listing you start before signing in, and a claim invitation link while you sign in. Cleared when you close the tab; private contact fields are never kept this way.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you choose “Accept analytics”, we load Google Analytics to understand which pages are used and how visitors find SolutionHunt. If you choose “Essential only”, it is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google Analytics.
- _ga: tells visits apart. Set by Google. Lasts 2 years.
- _ga_SRG6J70BMS: keeps the state of a visit. Set by Google. Lasts 2 years.
Google Analytics never runs on sign-in, account, dashboard, claim or connect-an-assistant pages. If you later switch to “Essential only”, we stop Google Analytics and delete these cookies.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media trackers or cross-site profiling.
Offline app
If you install SolutionHunt as an app, it keeps a cache of public pages and assets so it can show an offline page. Account pages, private data and sign-in responses are never cached.
Managing cookies
Use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. You can also delete cookies or block them in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in.
